[Getting started](https://www.prepared.app/resources/preparedepa?hsLang=en#getting-started) # Change your account settings ## Learn how to change your account, find help, or contact us through the app ### What you'll find under "Settings" When you tap on your profile picture in the bottom right corner of your screen, you will access your account settings – and other helpful stuff.  ![0\_Home\_nav](https://www.prepared.app/hs-fs/hubfs/0_Home_nav.png?width=386&height=73&name=0_Home_nav.png) Besides **editing** your account settings, you can **change your password** or **email address**. As a trainee, you can check **which supervisors you share** your profile with. Moreover, you can access our **knowledge base**, and give us **feedback** about the app. If, for some reason, you want to log out (or even delete your account, for which you just scroll down and tap on the according link), you can do so too. Just keep in mind that this account is your personal competence profile, there is no need for you to have two accounts. ![0\_Settings home](https://www.prepared.app/hs-fs/hubfs/0_Settings%20home.png?width=213&height=450&name=0_Settings%20home.png)  ### Edit your account settings Under "Edit", you can edit any of your account settings, such as your **profile picture**, **name**, **gender** or your **institution**, **version** or **role**. The logic behind editing your account works the same way as the **[registration process](https://www.prepared.app/resources/preparedepa-login?hsLang=en)**. So when you edit your **preparedEPA version**, you also need to enter your **institution and role**. When you change your **institution**, you also need to select your **role** at the new institution. 💡 *The **first time you select the "Supervisor" role** for a **certain institution**, a confirmation **request** will automatically be sent to the responsible institution admin. Once you are confirmed for that institution, you can switch between trainee and supervisor roles as many times as you like **without having to be re-confirmed**.*  ![1\_edit settings](https://www.prepared.app/hs-fs/hubfs/1_edit%20settings.png?width=213&height=450&name=1_edit%20settings.png)   ![1a\_edit version](https://www.prepared.app/hs-fs/hubfs/1a_edit%20version.png?width=213&height=450&name=1a_edit%20version.png)      ![1b\_edit institution](https://www.prepared.app/hs-fs/hubfs/1b_edit%20institution.png?width=213&height=450&name=1b_edit%20institution.png)   Scrolling down on the same screen, you can edit your [**data privacy settings**](https://www.prepared.app/resources/preparedepa-login?hsLang=en#data-protection). If you want to get the **most out of our app**, just **activate all** four of them.  ![1c\_edit settings\_scroll1](https://www.prepared.app/hs-fs/hubfs/1c_edit%20settings_scroll1.png?width=213&height=450&name=1c_edit%20settings_scroll1.png)      ![1d\_edit settings\_scroll2](https://www.prepared.app/hs-fs/hubfs/1d_edit%20settings_scroll2.png?width=213&height=450&name=1d_edit%20settings_scroll2.png)   - [preparedEPA](https://www.prepared.app/resources/preparedepa?hsLang=en#main-content) - [Getting started](https://www.prepared.app/resources/preparedepa?hsLang=en#getting-started) - [for trainees](https://www.prepared.app/resources/preparedepa?hsLang=en#for-trainees) - [for supervisors](https://www.prepared.app/resources/preparedepa?hsLang=en#for-supervisors) - [for medical students](https://www.prepared.app/resources/preparedepa?hsLang=en#for-medical-students) - [Frequently asked questions (FAQ)](https://www.prepared.app/resources/preparedepa?hsLang=en#frequently-asked-questions-faq) - [prepared360](https://www.prepared.app/resources/prepared360?hsLang=en#main-content) - [Getting started](https://www.prepared.app/resources/prepared360?hsLang=en#getting-started) - [Frequently asked questions (FAQ)](https://www.prepared.app/resources/prepared360?hsLang=en#frequently-asked-questions-faq) - [preparedCockpit](https://www.prepared.app/resources/preparedcockpit?hsLang=en) - [CBE / EPA Insights](https://www.prepared.app/resources/cbe-epa-insights?hsLang=en) [![Chill listening crop-3](https://www.prepared.app/hs-fs/hubfs/logo_corp_white_wide_800.png?width=59&height=24&name=logo_corp_white_wide_800.png "Chill listening crop-3")](https://www.prepared.app?hsLang=en) Dedicated to learner-centered education Copyright © 2026, prepared (by precisionED AG)
