Learn how you perform an assessment with the preparedEPA app when you use the student version

Tap the “new assessment” button on the home screen to start the assessment process. Select the applicable EPA.
Choose whether you considered the situation you encountered as simple or complex (the “i” buttons give you some more information on how to assess it). Then, choose the level of supervision you think you would need if you would face the same situation tomorrow.
If your supervisor is still next to you, tap on "Is your supervisor still next to you?" and "OK. I'll hand over the phone now to get the rating." and hand over your phone to your supervisor.
If they are not available anymore, you can document a self-assessment instead.
Once handed over, your supervisor needs to identify themselves either by entering their email address, by scanning the QR code from their preparedEPA app with your phone, or by taking a picture of their hospital badge.
Let your supervisor choose whether they considered the situation you encountered as simple or complex (the “i” buttons give you some more information on how to assess it). Then, have them choose the level of supervision they think you would need if you would face the same situation tomorrow.
View the comparison screen together and discuss the result. Then tap on "sign" and let your supervisor sign the assessment. Upon signature, you can do a quick feedback session with your supervisor, who then can create a learning goal for you. They have the option to follow a guide for giving feedback, or do it on their own terms.
